<p>I didn't get the 'no scholarship' letter either, so I might be up for one of the smaller ones (which they don't tell you till April 1)...or I might be plain rejected.</p>

sat II: math: 750, us history: 720, chinese: 760
GPA: honestly i do not remember but i had a 4.4 weighted average junior year? i don't stare at my unweighted because it's horrifically low. i had poor grades freshman year which were partly due to family circumstances and whatnot which i wrote about in my essays..</p>
<p>my recs should have been pretty well written. my business rec was great.</p>
<p>umm. i had a lot of ec's. active in clubs, community service, and 4 years in orchestra.</p>
<p>sorry i took that from one of my old posts lol. i was tired of typing it.</p>
<p>even with my low gpa (dragged down by my freshman year grades), i'm still in the top quarter of my class. which says a lot since the top 10% typically go to ivies.</p>
<p>I think it would be cool if nobody on this board got rejected, then we could all have a huge CC party at orientation or something and like bring laptops and post happy threads, instead of sad/nervous/scared threads</p>

<p>Did I miss something? Your SATs are right where they should be (above average!), and you seem to have a complete all around application in terms of ECs and recs. Unless you didn't write an essay AT ALL, I seem to be missing your weakness... As long as you've taken challenging courses, I don't see why you are worrying!</p>

<p>I only received the two letters. I did e-mail Cinematic arts to asks the status of my application (I applied production) and they said it was at the admissions committee for review and that an answer would come in 3-4 weeks".....</p>

<p>i've taken pretty much all the hardest courses at my school... with exception to ap physics, and ap chem. i took ib physics though. that's supposed to be THE hardest class here and i must admit, it was pretty dang hard -_-.</p>

<p>IB Physics? HL or SL? Either way, that is a pretty hard course!</p>
<p>Any reason why you fear rejection? To me, your credentials seem above par... If you have a couple of leadership positions in your ECs, then you should stop worrying! (ulcer prevention)</p>

<p>oh no i'm not crazy enough to take the HL test. LOL i didn't even study for the SL one and i somehow scraped by with a 6. i almost died. i bsed the entire thing and i thought i got a 2. HAHAHAH.</p>
<p>honestly the course at the school was muuch harder compared to the test. and when i say much, i mean MUCH. 70 questions in 50 minutes? that's bs. i die trying to finish the test. it's not even the easy mc questions. it's like ones where you have to make a dang diagram and work out the whole thing... :|. i barely got by in that class. definately the hardest class i've ever taken. what sucked even more was that the teacher never even gave you the right answers or graded your hw. oh and his lectures were boring and crappy. no charisma whatsoever.</p>
