Sooo I'm sure theyll have a look at additional recos (even though they might curse the applicant for the extra time :P), because well the adcoms will read it

but what about abstracts/research papers/reports etc? stuff that isn't in the artistic supplement? do they really look at it i.e go through all the effort of giving it to an expert, waiting for the reply etc etc? or do they simply ignore it and look at only whats required?

cuz well theres so much stuff to review anyway, it wouldn be logistically probable...
i'm asking cuz ive sent a research paper and am now regretting it. fml. please answer!

@aznjunior: May I ask what kind of research paper is 20-paged long?
About the topic question: I believe they do. If not, they are not Princeton at all. Don’t worry about it, though I’m only a fellow applicant:)

i did scientific research at a university regarding a specific synthetic peptide; the paper included abstract, into to problem, hypothesis, procedure, conclusions, graphs, tables, etc.

Well maybeee it was so awesome that they’ll look over the length, and totally accept you! :)

I sent in a photoshopped folder kinda thing which I thought looked kinda cute. But that was just because I was sending them my ECO fee waiver, and thought it would be cooler in a folder, hahah.

@aznjunior: Thank you for your answer. I guess you did it for some research contests. If you intend to submit it to some journals, I would advise to cut it down. Otherwise, it would get rejected at the first place except you prove some “open problems” like those in Mathematics(Langland’s fundamental lemma, Fermat’s last theorem, etc)
