Do they still mail out acceptance letters???

I was wondering if we will still receive an actual acceptance letter in the next few days, or is that something they do only if you that if you haven't checked online. Also, do they ever attach personal notes to the letters, I read somewhere that for Yale the adcoms do that sometimes. I did something real crazy with one of my essays, so I was hoping that maybe the adcoms would leave a comment on about my essay or something.

I know Colgate does the personal note thing, too, but I think they send one to every accepted applicant. I’m not sure if Penn does.

Yes, we still get a paper acceptance  See the Penn '15 Discussion Thread.

Curious, what’d you do “crazy”?

well if I told you, then I’d have to kill you. haha, no I would prefer to leave it as my little secret, it may very well have been the reason why I got in.

Well that will be useful for the next college you apply t- Oh wait… You aren’t.

haha, yes, the college admissions process is over for me, I realized yesterday, that if I hadn’t got in, I would have been in some major trouble, I would have had way too many applications to do before the deadline.

I got my Penn acceptance letter Saturday morning. It was just an envelope, the same letter that’s online, and the same checklist that’s online. It didn’t come with a personal note or anything like that. It didn’t even come with the financial aid package, which is online.

If there weren’t online decisions, I’d be pretty sure I was rejected by the thickness of that envelope.
