Lovely threat :-)
I don't get why some of the poster here are getting annoyed. I ask questions to produce answers and to better understand the whole process.
I never claimed to have college age kids, although am surrounded by those daily.
Thanx to all of you who keep an open mind

Yes, extensive community service really adds to his profile. To keep up, he sleeps only one day a week, just like any other applicant to HYPSM.

I can't believe no one thinks God might qualify -- like Kelowna's daugher in a few years -- as what the Harvard admissions dean calls a "WOW [walk on water] kid".

Edit: I should have read marite's post first. She's right: He's already in, everywhere.

Ah, but he does not need Expos or Freshman English. He knows that: "In the beginning was the Word." He also knows what any good instructor needs: "Let there be Light." Much better than saying "Will someone turn on the lights, please?"

The WOW kid had a different hook besides performing miracles: he was a legacy. We're talking of the Father. We need to construct a decent resume (using the template suggested in Rock Hard Apps).

Not annoyance so much as incredulity, Kelowna. Predicting a future US Physics Team ranking for a current 6th grader seems, well, a bit premature. And believe me, there will be time enough when your kid reaches high school to learn about the process.

LOL--this thread has made my day!

My son has a t shirt with a light bulb, the formula for light (some physics thing) and the words "There was light" in Hebrew. This I imagine is what God would wear on campus. :) Overachiever.

JHS:

When S's friend attended Hebrew classes, he emerged with a burning question, which S hastened to bring back to us: "Since God is omnipresent, it must mean that he does a lot of traveling. Our question is: "Does He have to wear a seat belt?"
Our question here is: Does God have to even apply to college?

^^He's in!

But, alas, still no financial aid from the Ivies.

They've decided that at his income level (A billionnaire in galaxies), the need-based financial aid formula shows zero need. Alternatively, he was not able to submit FAFSA.

Kelowna, we aren't annoyed, this has given an opportunity to vent a little.

Winners of National Olympiads and other contests DO get free rides to universities, they just don't get free rides to need-based schools like Harvard unless they are also financially needy, very financially needy to get a true free ride. These students, when they have high grades and test scores and aren't the Unabomber, get free rides to places like Univ of Arizona, Alabama, Miami of Ohio, lots of LACs. I'm not sure beyond that, what your question is.

Some national contest winners get no free rides, because they don't apply to the right schools to get merit aid, or they have terrible grades or they been suspended or any number of reasons. How can you be sure that your 12 year old is going to win one of these awards anyway?? It is not a sure enough thing to hang all her finances on, you might need some savings as well.

Marite, omniscience and omnipotence are necessary but not sufficient attributes to be garnered from a full, well-rounded college experience. Though as I take this further, I'm now beginning to be very uneasy as to exactly what work-study jobs might be appropriate and positively panicked at the thought of God's participation in sports, whether NCAA or club-level. There might be a small saving grace, I suppose, that God wouldn't point to himself after scoring a touchdown....

Dear me, TheDad: Omniscience and omnipotence after only 4 years of college (3 if God uses all his AP credits)? Leave something for grad school, will ya?

Grad school for God? Okay...now I am boggled.

While on the subject of sports: Would He ever throw a Hail Mary pass, or would it be Hail Mom?

Depends on whether it's the Father or the Son? As the Spirit moves Him, I would say.

Kelowna - After all the above, I dont't know about the higher powers - but as an answer to your question, the schools were Rice and washU.

Oh, that reminds me ... I think I saw a post about God getting waitlisted at WashU this year ...

Well, God, is God a Co-ed?

God got yet another mailing from WashU and said, "Medammit!"
