Obviously if your senior year grades matter in the college admissions process if the college has them, but let me explain my situation.

Because of a loss of school time due to Hurricane Sandy, my midterms end February 8th and midyear grades will probably be available to be sent out around the 14th or 15th. So basically what I am asking is if colleges will look at my application before I'm able to get those grades sent in and make an admissions decision without them. I'm specifically looking for answers for top schools like Harvard, Princeton, UPenn, etc.

We had this issue w/ my daughters Ed app which required first quarter grades. We called and they put a note in her file. Said they would hold off to look.

You will be fine. RD applications won’t be fully reviewed until they are complete. They will have your first semester grades by late February. Have your school write the Offices of Admissions to inform them of the situation. Ensure that the letter has your name, d.o.b. and ss# on it, so it gets placed in your file.
