Do transfer student miss out on the college experience?

@walleats:what!!!..Claremont College’s?I was actualy there to study for my chemistry final and I saw none of that description your telling.may be it was because it was finals or something, but still…it look a regular UC or CSU campus.

I would not say that D missed all that much by having 3 semesters at CC before transferring to her dream U. We fortunately “missed” having to pay those extra tuition bills from that U! D is very happy, social & gotten into her major.

I began at a UC and then spent this last year at CC in order to transfer (fingers crossed!) and I’m kind of over the “college experience;” my experience in the dorms was not great, I never enjoyed frat parties (I’m really not into the greek scene) and the dining hall food gets old. When I transfer, I’m definitely going to live off campus, plus I’ll be 21 so I think “college parties” are more or less in the past for me… the “college experience” just seems kind of overrated. I think the real college experience is about gaining independence, making great friends, and discovering the passions that will guide your future, which you can do at CC just as well as at a 4-year school (minus the triples and communal bathrooms)

Didn’t quite have the grades I needed in high school and DEFINITELY didn’t have the money.

Oh well.
