<p>yea its friggin’ required for students staring like in Fall 2008 and on…hate it b/c i already have a minor that’s taking up my classes. Its required for first year at UT, whether you be a freshman or transfer and since its listed on every 2008-2010 business catalog, I do believe its required for graduation.</p>

<p>It depends on what catalog you’re in. If you had taken classes before Fall 2008, you should be placed in the 0? - 07 Catalog which doesn’t require you to take the UGS class. After that, you’ll be placed in the 2008 - 2012 catalog which does require you to take the UGS class.</p>
