Hi,

When I logged in to the CLA orientation website today, there's a to-do list telling me to take the math and chemistry placement test. I've already completed two quarter courses in Calculus and one quarter course in Introduction to Chemistry. I'm just wondering why UMN asks me to take these tests. Does anyone have the same issue?

Its just standard procedure. I’m a transfer student and wondered the same thing. I sent off an email and they told me not to worry about it. There should be a button saying you’ve completed the tests, just click that.

However, I’m not sure what their rule is about quarters as opposed to a semester. You should definitely be fine with math, but they may want you to take the science test. You can always email them and ask though :)
