do u think i have a BIG disadvantage?

do u think i have a BIG disadvantage to apply for transfer to Stanford if I don't take SAT 2?
They say they "recommend to take SAT2 but not required"

You really should take them. Most tier 1 schools want to see at least 2 subject SATs ( and all top 10 schools); I don’t see how you could get in without them…

If you are applying for junior standing don’t bother though because they won’t care about SATs as much.

well, I am applying for junior~~

Then I don’t think it is a big disadvantage, or a disadvantage at all, because they really don’t need to get anything out of SAT 2’s since they can see a good amount of college coursework that will attest to your academic potential at their school.
They may tell you to send them in, but they can’t hold it against you if you have good grades in relevant courses because that tells them more about your academic prowess than just one test.
Do check with admissions ( although I wold predict that they will most likely give you a BS response) to make sure; but I am pretty confident the tests will not matter.

It wouldn’t really make sense anyway. There’s no point telling them “hey I got 800 in Math II” if you’re acing Multicalc. So I agree with ccTransfer10.

If you have a great SATI, high GPA and other great assets, it’s probably fine for a junior transfer not to have them.
