Actually i focus on the SAT now. However,i found out that i might do slightly (or much, whatever~~~)better on the ACT.So,should i just start preparing for the act right now? (because i think if i change my direction, all the work that i did for the SAT before is going to become a WASTE :(

Just focus on the SAT since you’ve already started preparing for it. Most colleges only require ONE so it doesn’t make sense to stress yourself trying to prepare for both and dividing up your attention. Just focus on studying for the SAT and do your best. Once you’re satisfied with your score on the SAT, then you can think about if you want to take the ACT.

so i should focus on the sat even thought i will do better on the act?

depends. what are you getting in each. If you already do very well in both, and you still feel that you do better in the ACTs compared to the SATs, then by all means take the ACT. However, if your scores are not so good, it may be worth it just to stick with SATs. I find it easy to improve low scores on the SATs, though I have no idea about the ACTs. On the other hand, improving high scores will be a pain, especially CR (I especially hate stupid mistakes!!! Those take off most of my points).

well, the only reason that i want to change my focus is that i can never do well in CR.(im sure i can get at least 700 in both math and writing,or possibly an 800 in math)but i just cant never do well in CR.

i actually took a ACT practice test before .and i got a 29/30 in the reading section with no prep.(i know it wasnt that high lol.but it was actually pretty good compare to my CR score)

PS:I am a rising senior btw

In that case, it is not too late to switch to ACTs. In fact, I’m actually thinking about taking the ACT to see how I do after I finish taking the SATs in October, since I consider myself to be very good at math, science, and grammar, while only mediocre at reading. It seems like a perfect test…but who knows. Good luck, and don’t forget, you have time to test things out! Summer is only beginning.

Go with the ACT because it’s not that hard to improve on it with actual hard-work. By studying you can easily bring your score up significantly. I brought mine from a 24 to a 32. Contrary, my SAT still sucks no matter how much effort I put in.
