that's the link. i'm kinda scared to try cuz NYU admission officers might get ****ed that we're trying to use this before we actually get the letters..

supposedly, if we can log in, that means we are accepted? and if we can't then we are rejected.... i dunno if that's true...

Well what if neither accepted nor rejected people can log in? You need to have someone who has gotten accepted already to check if it works for him/her.

Don't do it; There was something in the news about some Harvard Business School applicants who had their admissions revoked after it was revealed that they had hacked into the system. You don't want to ruin any possible good news, would you

That wouldn't be considered the same thing as hacking.. i don't think.. but who knows.. it might be exploiting a loophole.. but thats not the same as hacking

Don't click it. Yes I'm tempted. The thing about the harvard business school admissions is the EXACT same as this. A guy found a loophole (a string the could be changed in the URL) that allowed him to view his decision a few hours early. Posted in forum. A handful of other people tried and all got their decisions revoked too.

I doubt it would even be activated for you guys yet - I mean, you don't USE any NYU internet things until you move in, and what would be the point of NYU activating it for a bunch of kids who might not even end up attending?

And yeah, you're going to get your decision in a week or two anyway; it's not like knowing it a little earlier will make any difference, so why run the risk? Seems silly to me.

the college process is literally the most stressful time i've ever endured and i think the colleges should chill with the threats and realize that THEY are the ones making the students go through this insanity. of course students will do whatever possible to releive the anxiety and find out their decisions in whatever way possible.
