Do UC schools look at the SAT or ACT more?

It may vary from school to school, but in general do they weigh SAT or ACT scores more heavily?

UCs don’t have a preference. They accept both and weigh both equally :)

Do they require both?

No, most people usually just take one. You can take two, but you shouldn’t unless your score is drastically different between the two.

If you do good on like the SAT but bad on the ACT or vice versa could you not send them the scores of the exam you did bad on?

Or if you like take the exam you have to send them the scores you got on it?

From the UC website:

So you have to send them all and they will use the highest in their calculations. They understand that students often have an affinity for one test or the other.
