I have been hearing from my high school that UC’s and CSU’s do not allow C-'s anymore and that you need a grade of C or higher in a class to be accepted by the UC/CSU. I have been looking at both the UC and CSU’s webpages and cannot find any information on this, all they say is that you need to have a C or higher. But i know for a fact that when you apply to the UC they only ask for your letter grade, not the letter grade and the mark you got. SO im really confused on this, and I got a C- on my sophomore english class and now I’m being told by my counselors that i must retake it if i want to go to a UC or CSU. I am going to be a senior in the coming school year and i don’t want to retake that class with a bunch of sophomores in it. SO is this true that UC’s and CSU’s no longer accept C-'s?
