When determining whether a student should be admitted to their school, do the colleges also look at your FIRST SEMESTER Senior Grades or just your grades from 9th-11th grade ??? b/c applications are due by the end of November and my load of AP’s I’m taking this year should boost my GPA. First Semester is ending in the middle of December…
UC’s and CSU’s do not normally look at Senior year grades for admission purposes. Some UC’s may ask for a supplemental from designated applicants (borderline/disability/unique EC’s or leadership) to help with their decision but most applicants are not targeted. Some CSU’s may ask for a Mid-year transcript but usually their decisions have been already made. You will be notified if additional information/materials are needed by each campus through the schools application status portal (once set up) so make sure you check regularly.
Also do not send any additional materials if not requested. All schools expect you to maintain good grades regardless since you are provisionally admitted until they review your final transcript. Keep up the good work.
generally, bad senior grades can get your admission rescinded but, a significant bump in course rigor and GPA wont get you in.
