I’m just curious if UCs care more about unweighted or weighted grades… thanks.

i think the uc weighted gpa

UC (9-11 a-g) weighted GPA.

Up to 8 semesters.

Weighted always matters, but it matters about how the UCs weight them, not how your school weights them. I know a school that gives 4.5 for most/all honors classes (As of course), and that weighting system simply isn't entirely translated for UCs. Sure some honors are UC approved, but if you're in, say, honors freshman English, don't expect to get an extra point.

they don't give an extra point to English 2 honors either and I had a really hard teacher that year. lame

wait it's 9-11 a-g? Not 10-11?

^10-11 but the a-g course requirements can include 9th grade.
I think UCLA does look at unweighted GPA.

a-g can even include middle school.

usually just the math courses though right? I mean, with the exception of a few people it's only going to be Alegbra or Geometry right?

Foreign language is also commonly taken in middle school and is an a-g.

In chem honors, i've got a "C" grade, would most UCs look at it as a "B" in weighted?

If it is in 10th or 11th grade and is one of your 8 allowable semesters then yes.
