Do UC's consider Discrete Mathematics a Math or a Computer Science class?

It seems to me that many UC's list it under Computer Science, and I'm a bit confused by that. My CC identifies it as a math class.

I'd like to complete as many pre-reqs as I can in the Fall so those classes are factored into my GPA and transcript. The reason I ask is because I'm told to finish my math classes ASAP. I'm taking Linear Algebra over the summer, and then all I have left is Calculus III and Discrete Math. If Discrete is a CS class, then I'll technically be done with all my "math" classes in the Fall since that's when I'm taking Calc.

Check to see whether the discrete math course is required or recommended for your major at your target UCs and CSUs and whether your CC course articulates to the course at your target UCs and CSUs (use [Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org) ).

It really depends on the UC. At Berkeley, discrete math is Math 55. At SD, discrete math is CSE 20. Call up the UC’s you’re attempting to transfer to and figure out.

sorry for the late bump, but it depend on what the school is willing to teach for discrete math. While discrete math has a foundation of stuff for comp sci major. It up to the school to cover the book. @ my cc when i was taking it our instructor covered everrrythiing some thing we didn’t need to know but he covered it anyways =( still wish my CS teacher taught it. But @ uci our discrete math only cover comp sci related stuff.
