Do UCs count 9th grade grades?

<p>I heard from some people that UCs don't count freshman grades in gpa - is this true? I got three Bs in unweighted classes in ninth grade last year so I hope this is true</p>

<p>even if they don’t count it, your grades from freshman year will still show up on your transcript. if you are a borderline student, good grades from 9th grade could help you tip the scale</p>
