Hi guys I just came up with some weird question...If I applied to UCLA for example last fall with a GPA of 3.5...Is that GPA that determines whether I am in or out? So if I get a 3.7 by the end of fall and reach 60 units is the 3.7 pretty much useless since I didn't apply to UCLA while I had the 3.7 gpa?

weird question but thanks for helping me!

They only care about your fall grades if they drop beneath a certain threshold. New grades from spring are not considered at all for admissions purposes as the transfer update would be useless by that time.

^^ Not true. Your fall grades are the last grades that are calculated into your admission decision, so yes, they would evaluate you at a 3.7 if that’s what you had by the end of the fall.

yeah I meant spring. said it the second time. Spring grades are the ones UCs see after admission decisions are made and can be used as a basis to rescind your admission

Ah, yes, that is correct.
