My friend has told me that the UC's like you to talk about some of the accomplishments you've had within your essays. The general tips of the UC app/schools, say to avoid lists of accomplishments in your essays. Right now I have two versions of an essay. One very personal, the other is a recycled version but talks about volunteer work and science courses. Both would fit the prompt of UC #1, your goals and aspirations. Should I use the paper that talks about some of the things i've done (take hard classes, volunteer), or stick to the more personal one because I can go slightly more in depth and keep it focused at the same time?
