Do UC's require freshmen to live on campus?

I’m applying to UC Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCD, UCI, and UCSC

You can probably find the answer on the housing pages of the websites of the colleges you're applying to.

I've tried looking for it but I can only ever find the housing options.

A quick Google search for "Ucla housing freshman" revealed this:

First-Year Student Housing Guarantee (1000682)

kayp00n, I know several students who commute to UCLA. Also UCI, for example, has many commuter students who live in the area. I imagine it would be the same for other UCs where students live in the area, or choose to rent/share apartments. You are not required to live in campus dorms.

thank you both!!

I am applying to all those 6 too, lol

Nope, no requirement, but I'd advise it at those UC's for the first year so you can make friends.
