Do UCs require high school transcripts for transfer applicants?

Hi,
I attended high school outside of the United States. So I was wondering if UCs required high school transcripts. I am currently a student at a California community college. I completed O level and A level certification.

Yes, most UCs ask for them.

UCLA didnt ask for my highschool transcripts but Berkeley did. Depends on the UC.

UCLA doesn’t require them, but it’s still worth submitting them because if you did well enough in U.S. history (and you didn’t take U.S. History or U.S. Gov’t at CC), then that might get you out of the American History & Institution requirement.

I’ve been accepted to 4 UC’s and not 1 asked for my high school transcripts.

  • UCLA
  • UC Santa Barbara
  • UC Davis
  • UC Riverside

My Davis portal asked for my transcripts, but I called the admissions at UCD and they said if you don’t submit your high school transcripts, they waive the requirement. It’s not for the purposes of admission, but for your records at the school. I didn’t really understand it, but I clarified with the admissions person and they said it isn’t necessary for enrollment, no matter what.

It seems arbitrary. I had to submit to both UCLA and Berkeley. It should say in your portal.
