Do UCs try to verify family information?

<p>I fear that the family income i report may not be exactly accurate. Will the UCs try to verify parents’ jobs and family income?</p>

<p>Honestly, I think those income questions are preliminary. Because don’t we have to fill out the FAFSA soon, which is a way more in detailed info about our financial status.</p>

<p>Isn’t FAFSA only for people applying for financial aid? I’m an international student BTW.</p>

<p>oh. I guess.lol. If it’s in the ballpark of the actual income, I don’t see it being a problem.</p>

<p>The income question is only used to determine if you’re low income, since that can help you in admissions. And the UCs don’t try to verify any of that unless you’re in the <1% that gets audited.</p>
