Do Universities get info before finalists?

<p>Do Universities find out who NMSF are before students are notified?</p>

<p>I believe that they do. My son received his first NMF scholarship offer in the mail in August. It turned out that his school told him that same day (about 3 weeks before “embargo date”, but clearly the college knew by Mid Aug or before.</p>

<p>I received a bunch of offers that implied that I was already a NMSF with a 221 in California starting from around July 31st, but perhaps it was just generic mail given to all PSAT scores within the 99th percentile nationally.</p>

<p>I think the colleges have the April high scorer/commended scholar lists. My daughter has gotten mail from schools with their NMSF/NMF scholarship into, but she is sure to miss the Georgia cut off by 7-10 points.</p>
