<p>Many colleges, particularly high ranks, that make RD decisons in March to April require the applicant to submit first semester grades and they are used in the decision process. Nevertheless a lot of colleges, including most public universities, do not even request mid-year grades and make decisons based on grades through junior year; senior year grades, usually submitted after the senior year is over in the final transcript, then become important only in relation to a decison to rescind the admission because of poor performance in senior year.</p>
