do universities require the marksheets for the 1-2 college exams of 12th std. that are taken before september-october ?
i mean the ones taken before I apply.
thanks.

I’m not sure if they are required per say, since most of the applicants (worldwide) will be studying under the international high school system and therefore will not have finished their term exams at the time of application, but if you have your grades, and you’ve done well, you always have the option of sending them in.

so will they need them along with hsc board marksheets?
thanks.

Basically you need your 9th, 10th and 11th grade finals to be sent. 12th is optional, unless you’ve already completed your board exam upon application, in which case you must send it as well.

actually i am from india. and i will get my 12th boards result in may 2012…so can i give the sat in october?..and one more thing is that i am hearing this gpa system that i cnt understand…my question is that does the gpa also involves the 12th class marks?
if yes/no then which classes marks are involved under the gpa?

@rok2226: Colleges know that the Indian System doesn’t have a GPA, so don’t worry about that.
Also, you don’t need to send in your 12th Grade marks, but you need predicted marks from the teacher. And then after your Board Exam marks come out, you need to send them to the college.

thanx for rplying but can u tell me that if my gpa is very low(2.3) but my sat score is like 2200…will i get a scholarship in any college through sat…

@rok: “my gpa is very low…”. If you’re studying under the Indian system, you don’t even have a GPA…you just have transcripts for each year.

If you’re in the top 10% of your class, you needn’t worry (the US knows that Indian grades are deflated).

No one gives out an ‘SAT scholarship’ to my knowledge, and most top applicants do score 2100 upwards anyway, but if you apply to a school where the average SAT range in around 1750-2000, AND you have decent grades, you might be able to bag a merit scholarship.
