Do universities such as UCSD or CSU look at high school classes in relation to desired major?

This may be a silly question to ask but if I wanted to major in say Biology, does the admissions staff take into consideration the high school career of the student in relation to the major? For instance, if the applicant has great grades but showed an emphasis in English and Art in the transcript, however wanted a degree in Biology, is it a disadvantage for them because they didn’t show an emphasis on the subject of their major?

I’m curious to know because I am in the same situation as the example. I want to know if UC universities and CSU campuses look into the subject emphasis of students in this regard. For instance, if one student had a 2000 SAT score and GPA of 4.0 but emphasized their high school career on the liberal arts wanted to take Biology as a major, would he still have an advantage over a student who had more than enough science classes in their high school career, yet had a 1900 SAT score and a GPA of 3.9?

UCSD does not admit students based on academic major (http://admissions.ucsd.edu/freshmen/eval-process.html) so I would think that no, this doesn’t matter.
