Hi DST246,

I am an international student who did his undergrad in the US and then did his medical school in the US. It is possible but **VERY **difficult.

I am in the process of creating a list of medical schools that at least consider taking international students. Here it is: http://internationalpremed.blogspot.com/

Good luck with the process and feel free to ask any additional questions!

^^^

Can you tell us more about your situation…

What do you think set you apart from other int’l applicants?

What were your stats?

Did you have any hooks?

Did you have to pay in advance or demonstrate that you had full funding?

Did you provide some indication that you’d be living in the US after med school?

Did your family’s position have any role in your med school admission…such as…you’re in the US because you’re a diplomat’s child or some other special situation?
