I know some colleges tell you online but will NYU email me or something? or do I have to check the mail

most people ive heard say the only mail acceptances, but couple of posts said that they were informed by email so idk.

also which comes out first? acceptance packages or rejection letters? which ones will be mailed and received sooner?
just wondering so if i know what my fate will look like if i dont get anything by the 20th…

they mail the decision to you. i don’t know whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing (the drama of seeing the “big” envelope in the mail vs. finding out at soon as possible through e-mail) but it is what it is.

the emails are for international students only. my guess is its to counteract the delay of mail? But yeah… at least that’s what they’ve done in the years past.

Do we get our mail the 2nd week of December? (starting on the 6th) or on the 15th…

check the admissions website. they said they’re mailing “the majority” of decisions at the end of next week. So it depends how long it takes to reach you. I’m hoping to get mine by next saturday since i’m in NJ but really, who knows. They should reach everyone by the 15th.

It’s an ongoing process. Decisions seem to go out in waves. Of course then there is postal system and christmas time so it takes a couple of weeks for everyone to frecive their letters.
