Quick clarification - if we apply ED, do we still get invited for interview? (Six weeks seems like an awfully short time to make their decisions factoring in an interview as well). International, so wondering if I'd be likely to get one. anyone who knows, reply! :D

Yes, lucky222, though you may not get one (not everyone does).

For international, I don't know...I know they don't do on-campus ones @ Princeton for anyone--they usually just do alum ones where I live--so it would depend on whether you have a local Princeton grad around.

Not nearly as many apply ED; that's why they can get through it faster.

Yeah. They try to contact alumni interviewers a week after our apps are processed, according to Molly Bracken at a local info session, and they will try to contact us as soon as possible.

You had Molly Bracken too? She's the rep for NY isn't she?
I sent in my app more than a week ago, still nothing...

"a week after our apps are processed..."

What's 'process'? Does that mean the 'opening of our application folder'? Will they open application folders before 1 Nov?

they usually do not no. sending in your app early is really just a feeling of relief. they start entering ur home data and personal stuff into the computer but no they do not begin reviewing ur app

I guess it's different for different schools. My friend who's applying to UPenn sent in her app last week and got called for an interview already.

I can't wait for the interview. But yeah, I'm confused about when it'll come too. I heard the actual "processing" of the application comes only after you've submitted the application and the fee. But who knows? Not I. :)

I really hope I can get an interview. I love interviews (probably because of my Impromptu speech training). Haha. Yeah, I'm weird like that. :)

I love love love love impromptu speaking. It's the only way I speak. That's exactly why I love interviews, too. So yeah, I can be weird like that too, c_j, lol.

I've heard that the interviews mean little in the admissions process at Princeton, hence why they don't even conduct them at the University. It's more of a way to keep alumni happy/donating. The only thing you could really do to hurt a fine application is to decline an interview, or act like an ******* during one.

Although, it is a good opportunity to talk to someone about Princeton ;)

I really hope I get to go to the Princeton Club in NY, I hear it's amazing.

Really? I heard it was pretty rustic...as in old and frayed.

Or maybe that was Harvards....

Is anything rustic in midtown manhattan?

I wouldn't know. Last time I visted Manhattan was in May, 2001. I hear a lot has changed.
