Do we have to accept the financial aid offers NOW?

I got my financial aid offer from UCSC but obviously I'm not sure if I'm gonna go there until I heard back from other schools.

The email is titled "ACTION REQUIRED" and it instructs me to accept the rewards/grants. If I accept them does that mean I'm committing myself to the school or just accepting them if I do end up attending?

I’m going to speak logically Here in regards to Award Letters I’ve received in CC. The minute you check off which financial aid you are accepting and sign the award notification they “batch” you at that school. If you end up going to another school it will most likely show up that you were “batched” elsewhere and you will need to provide proof to the current university that you never received any financial aid there.
It doesn’t mean you can not receive financial aid elsewhere by accepting the award letter but it MAY hold up financial aid if you choose to attend a different university.
I would just hold off on it, personally. But like always, I would call the financial aid office. Action shouldn’t be required til June or July anyways,

Sorry for grammar errors, I’m on my phone. Hope that helped!!!

Thank you!
