A.) Do we have to attend Orientation?
B.) It says it lasts a day and a half and that (Muir) students are lodged in residence halls, but do we have to sleep at
UCSD or could we just go home and come back the next day if we live in San Diego? Or does orientation even really last a day and a half? - could we finish faster? o.O
C.) The earlier the orientation date the better? or does Orientation date not affect anything else?

Thank you to any current students willing to help; I apologize in advance if the questions seem dumb, but I don't understand orientation from the orientation website

ohh I know the answer to that! No. Actually, I'm pretty sure parents aren't even allowed to go with you. They're allowed to sign up for a separate orientation for parents only

You can go to orientation with your parents. They will be housed in a different dorm.

Benefits of orientation:
A]Meet new people in your orientation group that you can see later in the fall (Welcome Week)
B]You get your Tritoncard.
C]Tour of the campus and college itself.
D]Scheduling your Fall 07 classes with your academic advisor.
E]Last but not least, free stuff!
