<p>good question! Do I need the university’s insurance if I already have one? I noticed that the insurance is Aetna Student and I have a different type but also Aetna.</p>
<p>All students must pay the student health fee. </p>
<p>But if you already have health insurance (you’re still covered under your parents’ policy, for example), you do not have to purchase insurance through the university (Aetna). </p>
<p>You must, however, fill out the insurance waiver and provide proof that you have other insurance.</p>

<p>BTW, full time UR students are eligible to buy dental insurance (for a fee) through UR and to participate in the Monroe County prescription plan (free).</p>
