I got something pretty close: 800 CR and 790 Math. Both were 99th percentile, if that helps at all. I'm guessing they weren't really 99th percentile but really are some rounded decimal. If they truly are 99th percentile, then if you found out how many people took the test then you could get a pretty good idea of how many 1600s there are. I'm not sure, however, if they release that number.

Yea I got 800 M/CR, and I wanna know how many did that, haha, so i guess there's a selfish reason for asking. In 1997 650 got a 1600, but I can't imagine the porportions stayed the same.

Honestly...I couldn't tell you. I got 740/740/710 M/CR/W the first time, and I only retook to get my Math, and maybe Writing up. CR was the last thing on my mind, but I wanted an 800 M. I was really happy with a 740 CR, and did no studying for any section since June...how I went up is beyond me. Maybe because I was generally happy with my scores and was really relaxed during the test?

It definitely is, at least this year. Some schools (like the UCs) say it isn't, but it is definitely the most statistically backed one (percentiles won't come out until next fall).
