Do we need to fill out the Manage Your Profile section of actstudent.org?

Hey CC'ers

when I first created my ACT account back in 7th grade I was told by my counselor to just fill out the first page of the "manage your profile" which contains just your information and info about your school. She told me to leave everything else blank and i did.

Now that I am approaching a date where i'd like to take the ACT for real, do I have to fill out the "Your Future Plans" "Your HS Courses" etc. or can i just leave them blank as before?

Does it matter?

Thank you all in advance.

Are you applying for colleges yet? If so, you should. It doesn’t take more than five minutes really.

Not yet.

However, let’s say that I take the ACT with a score I am pleased with and since i wasn’t applying to colleges I didn’t fill out the info.

Would I have to contact the ACT and have them fill this out for me?

I doubt colleges even glance at that information, but as starchywinky said it shouldn’t take you more than a couple minutes to fill everything in, so I would complete the requested fields just for safety…

You don’t have to fill out the profile. Colleges will have your application, essays, your transcript, and the school report that say enough about your HS courses and future plans, etc. And colleges upload all SAT/ACT scores automatically. They never see your answers on your ACT profile.
