Do What You're Good at or... Not?

To Cono:

No, they're not. You're not going to be in India anytime soon if the world ends. You will be in an area where the odds are tremendously good that 98% of the people there speak your language. Unless you live in California, southern Arizona, or southern Texas and don't speak Spanish.

Well, I like science, although I admit to my bias. But biology is more likely to help you survive than H. G. Wells (and I love "The Isle of Dr. Moreau", so don't hate), particularly plant biology. Architecture is more likely to help you survive than German. Would you like to argue that I am wrong by operating on the hope that German-speaking aliens will come down and save us?

I really am interested in the humanities; however, I feel as if I need to get a math/science degree to have a decent job outside of the world of academia. I have found that I like Geography and there is work outside of academia in Geography, so I believe I will shoot for that.

There is always double majoring/minoring! :P
