Do white girls like Asian guys?

Saffron90: Haha, I know for a fact that that isn't true!

From what I see (don't ask where.), the Asian guys in america vary in looks. So it's much better if we have some kind of benchmark.

Say out of 10, how would you rate William Hung? and how will you do that for Yul or Brad (of survivor fame)

I have a feeling that william would rate much higher in the US than if girls from asian countries would rate him.

^ What. I can't stand William Hung. I highly doubt any Asian girl dislikes him more than me.

William Hung is a disgrace, period. That guy has no self respect left in him. Ug, I want to punch him and make him realize how stupid he has been.

Such broad questions are kinda useless - it really depends on the INDIVIDUAL girl and guy.

There are some white girls who are not open to dating to anyone who isn't white or within their own ethnic make-up (i.e. - Greek or Italian), there are some girls who are open to dating males of various backgrounds (as long as they find the guy attractive) and there are girls who have an Asian fetish (granted, this is a small sub-set).

And for the girls who are open to dating Asian guys - the chances are much higher if the guy looks more like Oh Ji ho, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Rick Yune or Ivan Shaw rather than William Hung.

And while, yes, Asian males, due to the perpetuation of negative media stereotypes (and the virtual absence of any as a romantic interest), really aren't what most women think of when they think of a romantic interest, that doesn't mean that AM/WF relationships don't exist in fairly substantial nos.

About 25% of married US born Asian males are married to WFs (for certain ethnicities like Koreans, Japanese and Fils - the most assimilated groups, the % is as high as 30-35%).

Back when the predominant images of black males in the media were of the stereotypical "Sambo" charicature, BMs weren't exactly seen as sexy either.

Today, with more positive images of BMs, things have changed where BMs are seen as being diverse - going from the generally unattractive types (Snoop, Flava Flav, Biggie Smalls) to the generally attractive (Denzel, Will Smith, Shemar Moore) and everything in btwn.

Unfortunately, this is yet to happen for Asian males in the media.

White girls only like asian boys if they can do the Rubik's cube blindfolded.

Define "Asian guys''

In my experience, white girls love Middle Eastern guys.

k&s, no need to get too serious about this thread. Like I said, it was created out of boredom and in relation to a similar thread. But I do welcome your valuable opinions. =]

Sulaymanshah, I guess by Asian we are talking about East Asian guys here (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc.) People in West Asia (e.g. India) are quiet different in appearance and I think they are more popular here in the U.S.

Since when is India part of "West Asia?" I've never even heard of a "West Asia." India is more South Asia, or if you like big words, subcontinental Asia. If there were a West Asia, it would be Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran, and the -stan former Soviet Republics I can't think of right now. Maybe Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan?

My friend has been to Uzbekistan.

hehe. that's interesting. as ive recently found out that it exsists i want to go to bratislava, i dunno if i spelt that right.
