Do Yale's Short Answer Questions Need To Be Answered In Complete Sentences?

Perhaps I am over-thinking this, but do Yale's short answer questions need to be answered in complete sentences?
The short answer questions are the ones that need to be answered in "250 characters (roughly 40 words) or fewer" and include questions like "What excites you intellectually, really?" or "Suite-style living - four to six students sharing a set of rooms - may be an integral part of your Yale College experience. What would you contribute to the dynamic of your suite?"
Oh, and I was also wondering how people typically respond to "Think about a disappointment you have experienced. What was your response?" I don't want to sound frivolous.

you’re applying to one of the top schools in the country. Yes, they need to be complete sentences.

Well, yes, I am aware of Yale’s reputation, but some other top colleges and universities- Columbia, for instance- had short answer questions which were meant to be answered as lists.
But thanks for responding; I will certainly use complete sentences!

These questions sound like they want full-sentence answers, but keep in mind that doesn’t mean you have to answer “What intellectually excites you, really?” with “What really intellectually excites me is…”

@jpheys‌: Thanks, that was sort of what I was wondering about.
