Just a brief question:
I'm in high school and I'm very interested in studying at Dartmouth. I will major in engineering and hence want to study at the Thayer School of Engineering. Some universities like Cornell have students apply to individual schools while others like Harvard have students apply to the University as a whole. Which one of these categories does Dartmouth fit into? I couldn't find info on their website. I was wondering if my intent to study at Thayer would give me a slight advantage over other Dartmouth applicants since Thayer isn't necessarily the most popular school at Dartmouth, and Dartmouth isn't known for engineering. Do they at least ask applicants of their intended major? Thanks

I think you apply to the college as a whole and your intended major doesn’t really matter when they make your decisions.
