do you ask questions BEFORE you give up on searching for the answer by yourself?

...since after all, it's difficult to determine how long you'd search for the answer by yourself, and asking questions is a sort of a security net.

and since the sooner you get the answer, the better (especially since the search process of the answer can involve sleeping and subconscious processing).

even though you feel horrible for annoying ppl when you find the answer by yourself and THEN someone answers a question you asked BEFORE you found the answer... and then you might even annoy ppl.

If I have a hard time finding the answer (i have to read thru a ton of stuff and I wasted 10-20 minutes and found nothing)or if I completely don’t understand something, then I post but I still keep trying to find it.
