do you ever feel like there's nothing to do where you live?

I wish I still lived in Illinois. Michigan sucks, the only cities that don't suck in MI are Detroit (though most of Detroit isn't so great) and Traverse City.

I'm sure there's a few things to do in Grand Rapids as well.

Suburban Detroit has some of the best malls. (SOMERSET ALL THE WAY) Have you heard of it, Drew?

Briarwood has like.. three stores I like. You must know of Briarwood. lol.

I actually went on a field trip to Somerset in 8th (or 7th) grade for math class.

I live smack dab in the epitome of suburbia. Granted it's nothing against a cornfield, but I'm dying to get out of a city where the only thing a teenager can do for fun is to "chill" at someone's house (which I don't do), go to the mall (which I don't do a lot), or stay at home and vegetate. If at college you see a cucumber walking around, say hi, because that's me.

You're right Jonathan K, the suburban Detroit malls (excluding Northland) are pretty nice.

Why'd you go there for math class?

...I'm sorry, Exotic Echidna. Your life must be boring. I give up my throne of Boringest Residence to you.

And Yetish, there's nothing wrong with just "chilling" at someone's house. I do that all day.
But hello, Mr. Cucumber anyway.

Exotic knows how people in Maine roll. REALLLL bored.

that's miss cucumber =)

Hell, I live in the most populated city in the world and there's nothing to do. Same stores, same parks...one 99c store here, one Bestbuy there, Marine Park here, Central Park there...it's all the same. The scenery is soo dull you just wana pluck your eyes out some times. (one apartment building after another, or one house after another, or one highrise after another...all extremes with no diffriention between them=boring-looking city life.)

Sorry!!!!!! >.<

Mozilla, don't even tell me there's nothing to do in NYC. I'll gladly trade places with you any day.

Also what sucks is that you see 1000+ people a day, yet no one ever has the chance/patience/nerve to EVER talk to anyone. I don't mean a real private conversation, but if you were to say make a casual conversation with me (or vice versa) on the subway, I'd look at you like a nut. Everyone is so kept to themselves here, even people on your block...I mean I'm guilty of it as well, but if it wasn't the norm. here, I wouldn't be so much like that.

Okay a good example: Say something was holding a trian up for 20 minutes and I said to you' Wonder what's happening.' You;d either get a phony smile, a shrug, or a look that you are a total nut when you are just trying to be a LITTLE friendly.

Not nothing...unless youlike going to stores every single day. Yeah, it's better than most of America. All I'm saying that the novelty of the city wears off very soon. That's all. (the main atractions in the city are tourists swamps. Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx are lame. No matter how you pn them down. Forget about Staten Island. To leave there takes you either 2+ hours due to reeeeely bad mass-transit in SI or a 9 buck toll+ gas.)

There IS nothing to do here in scenic (foggy) Monterey, CA. And I still have a year left....can't wait to get out of here.

New York isn't the most populated city in the world. It's the 11th. If you're going by metro area, it's the third.

0o0. Really? I always heard it was 'the biggest city in the world'. Agh. No matter. I'll just get more cabbies from Pakistan!

You can always find something fun to do, no matter where you are.

I wish I could move to New York.

My dad soo should've taken that job offer. I would move in within in a second.
