LOL It doesn't work with online classes... I had an excuses absence for two days, and club meetings/ school related events until at least 8:00pm every night during one week. Everything is due on Friday by 12:00am or it's late. I didn't get home until 10:00pm that Friday, and I had to do the entire week of pre-cal in two hours. My last assignment takes two minutes to upload, and is submitted at 12:01 am. I get points deducted for it being late.

I'm exactly same as icooufoo69.
I skip all the time whenever there is a test or an assignment
ahahaha works for me
but thesedays teachers seem like they're hating me
i dunno if it's gonna affect my recommendation letters

but sometimes i'm really sick
like one day i had rash all over my body

i don't personally skip the day a paper is due, but literally half of my class does.

No, we can't here. Our AP teachers require the assignment on the day it is due, with no exceptions. Our English teacher states the same "even on the way to the hospital, you must turn it in to me" as mentioned in this thread. I once replied "But wouldn't you feel horrible if one of us died because of the pit stop?" She replied, "Yes, I'd feel horrible if any of you died under any circumstances. But at least I wouldn't have to fail you on top of it."

LAWL. Like 60% or something ridiculous like that skip. My friend says this distinguishes the pros from the noobs.

i do it for physics hwk and just get an excused absence...so they arent allowed to dock points :P

My teachers make us email stuff in if we're absent the day it's due, so I can't do that. :P

I've done it once, but most people I know have done it at some point.

haha oh ya

I remember last year I was sick with pneumonia and pink eye the day a paper was due. I emailed it to my teacher the day before the deadline and brought a doctor's note when I came back a few days later. She seriously tried to give me a 0 on it (it was worth around 150 points!) because I didn't have a hard copy in her hand that day. Finally, my mom talked to the administration and she was told to change it.

So, needless to say, I don't skip class the day a paper is due. =)

in my school, the policy is that you get zero for the paper/hw/whatever is due that day, if you just dont show up to class (=unexcused absence).

some teachers are generous though.

No. I skip class the day before a paper is due.

I skipped school the day before my research paper was due to write it...worked perfectly

Ha, yeah.. no.
For long term assignments, papers are due when they're due.
For test corrections in AP Bio (2 weeks notice!), I was deathly ill the day they were due so I scanned them and e-mailed them to my teacher as proof they were done, then I turned them in the next day.

Freaking ridiculous.

No, and I have contempt for people who do. I don't care at all about people who cheat on papers or tests, but those who are absent the day of a paper being due or of a test...just ugh. Pathetic.

agreed with rodney (post #2). also if you miss a test and u dont have a doctors note, teacher will make it harder

haha i agree with bartleby as well^

hmm yeah, it's actually not as smart as you guys think, skipping class to do hw. It'll catch up to you and you can kiss your rep goodbye

no because here you have to email the paper to the teacher because no late papers are allowed regardless of attendance

Yeah, but I just skip the entire day.

lol cheating on tests is more ridiculous then skipping classes to finish assignments. At least skipping classes to finish assignments is a matter of procrastination or having to do too much work while cheating on tests is just morally wrong.
