Do you feel AP Classes are hard?

I have taken 3 and got an A in 2 and a b in 1. AP US HISTORY STATS AND EVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE. The only real hard ap in my school is physics and calc

I’ve taken 10, currently taking 4.

The only AP I’ve had trouble with is Art History and only because my teacher really sucks and makes us memorize a ridiculous amount of pieces that will do nothing for us on the real exam. I’ve never gotten a B though.

yes, physics B is very difficult for me. most of the humanities APs at my school are easy, and the science/math ones (except biology and stats) are more difficult. some AP classes (e.g. AP psych and anything in the social studies dept.) are jokes at my school

Somewhat hard I guess? But the curve basically saves me in every class. Stat and calc are really bummers for me sometimes, but maybe it’s because I should actually try to study more often.

I found Calc BC hard, and I would have found Physics C hard if I had taken it. Classes like Chem and Physics B aren’t super hard (personally though, I found chem to be pretty simple, though a lot of people find it hard), but they require some effort. AP Stats was very easy for me.

I didn’t take any humanities ones.

It depends on the instructor and course. You really can’t evaluate them as a whole.

The only AP class I truly thought was difficult out of the ones I’ve taken has been AP bio. For some reason, no matter how hard I studied, I just didn’t understand it.

I thought Calc BC was hard, but I mostly get B’s in math. It was just a tinge harder. I got better at it anyway, and got an A for the second semester.

Physics C makes absolutely no sense to me. I honestly don’t get how anyone understands it.

The only AP I’m taking, and I find it hard is world history because our teacher lectures us about stuff 3 chapters ahead, and I fall asleep most days… and the tests are ridiculous and ask us questions that have 5 right answers… LoL.

AP Calc is just annoying. Hard? Well, kinda. Challenging.

Physics is pretty damn tough.

In my defense, I think my Calc BC class was harder than it needed to be. I found my college Calc class to be easier (I retook Calc 2), even if it had been the first time around, and this is at a place where Calc is considered to be hard (atleast by students here). We did a lot of theoretical stuff in my BC class that they only do in the very theoretical math series here.

ap classes are your typical academic classes without the druggies and stoners (for the most part, there are exceptions) nothing hard about it

Not really. The history ones had a lot of information to learn, but that’s to be expected. The AP classes at my school aren’t that hard, and I’ve gotten one 4 and five 5’s, and all A’s.

Maybe my school is just different but I found AP classes to be difficult. Well, then again I think the amount of time it takes to complete the workload and know the material takes a lot of effort. Maybe I’m just lazier than yall but it was rough keeping up in Bio primarily. Gov and Lit aren’t as strenuous. I think the science and math aps are generally harder than the humanities.

I only took 4 because I just found them ridiculously tedious. Sorry, I don’t like being taught to a test. I like actually LEARNING (I know! It’s a weird concept!)

^That would make sense if APs weren’t always geared towards a test only?

^ The vast majority of AP classes are taught to the test. It’s how the teachers are basically required to teach (not their faults, mind you).

I took 10 tests. I just couldn’t stand the classes.

I haven’t taken any that were difficult some. Some of them require a lot of work, but that does not make them difficult; it makes them tedious. My schools seem to follow the philosophy “more work = honors” and “even more work = AP.” The content isn’t challenging, with the exception of mildly new content, such as economics.

I’m in IB but I’m taking AP Euro as an elective. The class is ridiculously easy (I have like a 102 this quarter lol). But I’m going to fail the exam.

I took AP U.S. History as a junior and had a high 90’s average with a 5 on the exam; but I found the class relatively challenging and by no means easy. This year, I’m taking Calculus AB, European History, and Biology. Out of all those subjects, Calculus is probably the easiest (maybe because I’m good at math), but Biology is giving me a little trouble because of the depth of the material and my disorganized teacher. The difficulty of AP’s, I think, depends on the students in a class/school, as well as the material covered by the subject.
