Do You Feel Lucky? (Do ya?)

Seeing as some of my letters have already come and the others will arrive within 2 weeks, I think posting my original chance thread will give you, the CC posters, a great chance to test your chance-ing skills! How many of my acceptances/rejections can you accurately pick?

Oregon (so out of state for UCs)
White Male, Senior
Suburban Public School

UW GPA: 3.95
W GPA: 4.19

Weighted Class Rank 18/509, Top 4%

I took 4 full-year IB classes last year and am now taking 5. We have no AP or Honors courses. I got straight A's in all 5 of my IB classes first semester, 2 more A's in non-IB classes, and an A in a class I took outside school hours.

Outstanding Junior Math Student

E.C.s (look at the time commitment here...no typos...)

Drum and Bugle Corps (11-12), 600-700 hours a year, school year and summer. Very hard to stick in boxes.

Head Drum Major for Marching Band (11-12)

Co-Founder, Captain for Ultimate Frisbee Team

I will probably enter a Business school or study Economics. I have absolutely no idea what I want in a career and am not devoted to any one major. I do plan to join a marching band if the school has one, and find myself pulled to USC for this reason...

Chances at:

UCB
UCLA
USC
University of Washington Honors
Stanford
Reed College
Yale

Haha, I was thinking of doing one of these myself but decided against it.

I'd guess you got into all of those schools except for Stanford and UCB, since UCB is OOS and Stanford probably gets more west coast applicants than Yale. But with these places, you never know...

Hey I started one of these threads a couple days ago. Wanna repost on mines? It's called Let's Try an Experiment!

bump......

So did you get in? My guess is UCB - Crap shoot, same with UCLA. You can be excellant - which you are and still not get in cause the dice don't fall your way. USC UofW - you got in. Stanford - you got in. The other's don't really have a feel.

I think you will get in to everywhere for certain except Stanford and UCB. I'm not saying you won't get it, you have as good a chance as anyone. It's just that UCB is terribly selective for out of state folks and Stanford is just downright unpredictable (buddy of mine, class rank 5/1000+, 4.5+GPA, and other arguably better qualifications than I have, got denied EA)

UCB letters all come out on the 27th, so nobody except athletes know if they're in or not.

Also bump

I will give one away:

I was accepted to USC.

UCB- Deny
UCLA- Deny
USC- Apparently, Accept
University of Washington Honors- Accept (definite accept to the university as a whole)
Stanford- Deny
Reed College- Accept
Yale- Deny

I was also accepted to UW, and the Honors program.

^
Tell us already!!!! raahhhhhhhhhh

UCB - ACC, unsure
UCLA - REJ, unsure
USC - ACC
University of Washington Honors, ACC
Stanford - REJ
Reed College - ACC
Yale - REJ

You're ALL wrong!

UCB - REJECTED
UCLA - REJECTED
Stanford - REJECTED
Yale - REJECTED
Reed - WAITLIST
UW Honors - ACCEPTED
USC - ACCEPTED (attending)

^ I was pretty close minus Reed.
