D was a devotee of “Say Yes to the Dress.” She hated me watching it with her because I’d pick the show to pieces. Fast forward to current day/month, D and BF (now fiancé) are engaged. I am hoping for a long engagement. There are a lot of things they need to figure out.
Regarding “the good ones being taken”, I have a friend who say, “The good ones get married and they STAY married.” Delivered with a sigh, as she is divorced, in her 50s, and would like to date more. She sure isn’t wrong about our age group. Not sure how this will play out for millennials, though.
