Do you feel younger than you are?

I'm 17. I remember back in elementary school, I thought that 17 year olds were so cool and were practically adults. Now that I'm 17, I still feel like a kid...

^agreed

10char

same here! I was just talking to someone about this today. Like when did I get old enough to be a senior!? I still feel like I’m in 7th grade…

Yep. I mean I still think I’m 10 years old.

I don’t feel quite that young, but I do still step back a little bit when I think about being 17. I always feel like I’m around 15 still…and I definitely agree. When I think 17, I think “That’s almost 18–a legal adult. Wait, what?!” :\ I’M TOO YOUNG TO BE OLD

I feel almost older for my age because I spend all my free time on this website when I’m just an incoming freshmen >.< At some times I purposely act immature, not in the dumb or selfish way, but to just be able to have fun with my friends.

I was actually thinking about this yesterday. I definitely feel younger than my age. To think that I will soon be 18… Yikes! Time flies.

Idk, I feel kind of middle, like stronger and bigger but young. And umm, noticing your location…I’m from Saugus CA too haha.

yeah, kinda

No 10 char.

Nah, I feel like my age. But I don’t feel like some of the aspects of my age…like the fact that this time next year, I will have graduated high school and be closer and closer to being a college freshman. It seemed like that would never come. I do feel like I look younger than I am, though :/

I feel, and apparently look, younger than I am. I’m 17 as well, but I’ve literally had people working at stores ask me where my parents were.

I know I already posted but I just remembered something. During finals week I was in the library waiting for someone and this sophomore walks up to me (I was a junior, but he was much much taller than I was) whispering “freshmaaaaaaan, freshmaaaaaaaaaaan” and walking towards me like he was going to mess with me or something. As soon as he gets close I say, “Iiiii’m a junior, but thanks.” He goes, “OH wow man sorry uhhh you look really young for your age that’s a good thing you’re gonna look like you’re like 25 when you’re 40 that’s great man” and walks off. I WIN.

LOL yes!!! I was just thinking about that yesterday…

I was at the library volunteering and the person I was with was going into the 7th grade dude and like I remembered that when I was his age I would look at high schoolers and think they were so cool and mature and stuff. Now I look back and think me and him are about that same lol :P.

A couple weeks ago it finally sunk in that I’m a SENIOR. And now in less than a year I will have figured out where I’m going to college, become an adult, went to my senior prom, retired from sports, have finished the last school year of living with my parents, and have graduated high school.

I’m really excited but the nostalgia has already started to kick in. I can’t believe that I’m not going to be a child anymore. Also I’m running out of time to do stupid, immature, crazy, ridiculously fun and useless stuff and have it be written off as kids being kids. I’m going to have to be like responsible and act like an adult even though I still feel like a twelve year old inside. A year ago I was still putting ketchup under toilet seats (a la captain underpants) and now I’m supposed to make important decisions about my life. Wow.

No I am also 17 but I feel like I am very old now

Sort of. I’m 17 also. When I was younger, I perceived high school as being much “older.” And it really doesn’t feel like high school has been really long. Kind of feels like things have just happened.

Yes. I’m short and petite (even shorter than my 7th grade sister). And my dumb, innocent-looking face doesn’t help much.

No. I’m 15, but feel much older. I love growing up; I learn more about myself and become more secure with myself each day ;-)

No. I’ve felt much older my whole life. :/
