Catholic teachings do not allow artificial birth control use for Catholics. The poster on that thread did not ask for advice on birth control from a Catholic perspective. He wanted to know how to bring up the subject with his son. He never stated his religion & clearly wants his son to use birth control. That doesn’t mean any Catholics who posted would make the same decision for their own kids or for themselves. We also don’t expect non Catholics to skip meat on Fridays in Lent.</p>
