Is there really a scale of atheism? Like do you believe that God doesn’t exist more strongly than your sister?

strong atheism = will argue with anyone who isn’t arrogant enough to completely deny the possibility of a higher being
normal atheism = doesn’t believe in god, but respects other people’s beliefs

sorry, my experience with vehement atheists has not been good

Oh, I see

haha now I understand that that was a joke since I have read the last sentence :b

Parents: Kinda Hindu - They skip over half the stuff anyways haha

Me: Atheist - Its kinda weird because they don’t know and many Hindu occasions call for the boy in the family to perform some religious acts once in a while. I do them… but I always think “You’re such a hypocrite”

Ill tell them when i go to college in a year!

^^i was kinda joking but kinda not

my dad is christian (?) and my mum is a deist.
my brother and I are very atheist.

My parents are both strong Christians and are really close-minded about other possibilites other than those stated by the Bible.

I believe in God, but I’m not nearly as religious as they are. I’m also very open-minded to science and other theories of our creation.

Wow, a lot of atheists on CC.

My parents are rather strong Christians and I am agnostic.

Mom- LDS
Dad- Christian
Me- LDS

Nope. Entire family’s Catholic (and pretty traditional Catholics too).

Somebody’s got to represent the theists on CC.

^Wow. I never noticed that Puggly was Mormon.
Mom-Catholic
Dad-Catholic
Sister-Unknown
Me-I go to church with my parents, but usually fall asleep with my eyes open. I am Catholic, per say, but not traditional like praying the rosary every night.

^Try paying attention. You can’t reject something without understanding it.

^The Father at my church is around 80 years old…after the reading he speaks in a monotone, which is extremely dull. And I’m making confirmation next year so I have to sit in the front and sign in…it feels torturous sometimes.

Bump…This thread is interesting.
