Do you get bashed at school for getting an 800?

See title. ^

People yelling at me for ruining the curves. More so for the SAT I (800 on SAT II's is expected).

I actually have started to lie to people just to make it easier (where i am from, 4 800s kinda stops the conversation)

4 800s. Yup. Lol.

I just don't mention it. When people say "how did you do," I say "pretty well," but they always demand an answer.

i almost got killed over a 780

yeah i almost got killed saying i got a 790 and 780

Hmm...seems like CC is the only place that higher-scoring people can actually be honest about their scores...-_-

It's like that at my school with AP tests. AP classes tend to have the same people in them over and over again. Somehow by the time school starts, everyone in the AP/honors track knows who got 5's and who bombed it. It's not spoken about, but randomly a few months ago, I was talking with someone I didn't know too well in the honors class how I was worried about a test, and they were like "Oh please. You got a 5 on the AP test. You'll be fine," then someone else said to that person "You'll be fine too. You got a 4."

It was kind of creepy how EVERYONE knew what everyone got.

But yeah. Curve-wrecking is almost an offense punishable by beating with a textbook.

Whenever I tell people I got 2 780's on SAT II's they're always like "Oh god ONLY a 780" all sarcastic like. But I dont even act disappointed... Whatever.

No....people don't care here....whats SAT?

Not at a prep school....

Wow, I guess that's not so outlandish. When I told people my scores--435 and 380--they threw me a party. I was like, "well, ok, so you actually like me?" And then I knew my way was paved for life. Life-- what exactly is that? Test scores? Personality? Love? Sex? . . . money? Hmm. . . I'm thinkin' . . . .

My school has too many ppl getting 800s. I know 16 ppl in my grade that got 800 on the SAT I math.

I got a 1600 of 1600 on the old SAT. That was a real conversation sinker with girls. especially rich white girls. :( tries not to be stereotyping

but seriously, people think you're a nerd. I hate that. I love to play violin, read, and study whenever i can... :) just joking

I wish to get 800s no matter how much I study i can't even get 750s except in writing...I'd rather have 800s since at my school 800s ARE QUITE COMMON so ppl still treat you like a good friend or the exact same way when you get it...

The salem witch trials of collegeboard scores...wait till Ap score season

no one at my school gets above, like, a 1200 on the old and an 1800 on the new. including the smartest ones.

so when i complained about my 2120...
let's just say people think i'm crazy...

and maybe i am, ...but at least I'm going to college!

Tawny, if you know you're going to get a reaction like that, why'd you complain about a 2120 in the first place?

actually, i just posted my score on my lj and said i wanted to do better... ...

and because its a 2120! lol

maybe for some of you, you just like to show off....i know 2 friends, one recieved a 2110 and he mentions it the first day that he recieved the score, but then another guy recieved 2300+, but never mentioned it...if you're that smart, you can prolly get yourself out of the conversation easily, or not go under the spot light.
