Do you get less FAFSA aid as a transfer?

No you’re fafsa is based solely on your income level. If you’re family makes x amount of dollars, you’re going to get the same pell grant as someone else whose family makes that same amount regardless of what school you go to, how long you’ve been in school, or whether or not you transfered into that school. Schools do not control fafsa, the federal government does.

The pell grant will stay the same, but aid like federal work study/ perkins loans are allocated by the school. It’s possible for a college to run out federal work study/ perkins loans.

^^SEOG is another campus based aid like WS and Perkins, so that will also vary by school. Each school determines their own maximums and sets their own criteria for awarding it.

Thanks for the help!
