Do you get notification either from ACT or colleges that the scores have been received or sent? Or only way to check whether colleges have received scores are not is through online login with each college.

Usually how long it takes for colleges to receive scores?

No, you won’t get notified. You can assume that they’ll be sent soon after you place the order, and they’ll be received shortly thereafter.

College Board says to allow two weeks for delivery, I believe, but I’m not sure how long it actually takes.

For all our D’s schools this fall it has actually taken 2 business days or in one case even less to report her scores as received. (That is, once a week or so goes by in which the colleges update their records, her app on their system shows they received the scores within just a day or two.) I think most schools receive ACT scores electronically these days and as soon as you pay they are sent. I haven’t noticed anyone having problems with sending ACT scores in the past few years; it’s a pretty reliable system.

Thanks Guys

The Dec 14 ACT scores should be out by Dec 28 or so; For Jan 1st deadline, is it okay to send the scores after you see them? A lot of colleges say they will accept Dec ACT scores , does that mean even if the scores reach colleges by Jan 5th or Jan 10th, that’s still okay? As Colleges are not going to start evaluating your application right away anyway.
